What is a "Broken Branches" Art Retreat

It's fun, it's fellowship, it's laughter and it's creativity. You need no artistic ability or training! Everyone brings their own broken branch that they have found on walks, hikes or just in your own backyard. We start by taking the bark off and sanding our branches down to a clean, workable surface. Then the fun begins! We decorate our branches with any kind of supplies you like... acrylic paints, strips of material, tissue papers, copper wire, beads, embroidery threads. The only limitation is your own imagination. Our branches are a reminder of the process we go through during various trials. God has to peel away our outer layers and sand down some of our jagged edges that make us less usable tools in God's hands. Then he can turn our brokenness into something of beauty and usable for His Kingdom. You will be amazed at the transformation your branches will take and they will be a constant reminder of how much you are loved by God. Fee: $10/person
